Shifting Perception to Heal the Past

We have all experienced wounds in life, varying in depth and impact. These wounds leave lasting impressions on our consciousness, shaping our perceptions and, consequently, our life experiences—both positive and negative. Healing our perception of the past is essential for healing our lives and allowing new visions to emerge.

This requires courage. Often, we become so identified with our wounds that we forget we have the power to overcome them. We allow these wounds to dictate our actions and reactions, forgetting that they belong to the past and hold no power over us today. Embracing the courage to let go and shift our perception is crucial. It's time to commit to the work required for healing and to be open to healing our lives by changing our perception of the past.

Perception is Powerful

The Parable of the Blind Men and the Elephant

The blind man who feels a leg says the elephant is like a pillar; the one who feels the tail says the elephant is like a rope; the one who feels the trunk says the elephant is like a tree branch; the one who feels the ear says the elephant is like a hand fan; the one who feels the belly says the elephant is like a wall.

Change Your Mind & Heal Your Life

Your subconscious mind shapes your life's experiences by processing and storing data from past events and influences. It uses this information to keep you safe, often confining you to your comfort zone, even when it's no longer comfortable. To master your life, you must reprogram both your conscious and subconscious minds, updating them with data that empowers you to break free from self-imposed limitations.

The conscious mind is logical and thinks in "words." So whatever you are telling yourself as true, is true for you. To reprogram the conscious mind, we use positive affirmations.

In contrast, the subconscious mind is creative and processes thoughts in images. The reality you envision for yourself is shaped by these mental pictures. Consistently visualizing negative scenarios will manifest negative outcomes in your life. To reprogram the subconscious mind, use positive imagery. Many people use vision boards and repeatedly visualizing a positive mental movie to effect positive change.

Integrating positive affirmations with positive visualization cultivates the confidence to know that your desires are manifesting here and now. If you do your inner work, you will soon see the outer results.
